Wendy said to Alan: "Stop talking!"

Wendy told / ordered Alan to stop talking.


Wendy said to Alan: " Please, stop talking."/ Could you stop talking?

Wendy asked Alan to top talking.


Elena explained to me how we can use gerund in the sentences.

S + VERB + OBJECT + INFINITIVE

My dog begged me to give her a treat. / My dog begged for a treat.

My dog deserves a prize. / My dog deserves to get a prize.


Alan promised his girlfriend to take her for a walk.

Alan promised to do his homework in time.
